NaNoWriMo Day 14

So, that's basically where I am right now. I need to be at 23,333 words but alas, I am a bit behind. Only 600 words, but I need to get ahead two days wordcount before Friday afternoon. Goodness me.

By the way, my 20,000th word was "conventions". I was talking about Mom's Usborne books and MLM days :)

Hopefully I will write, write, write tomorrow (that is, when I'm not doing the other thousands of things on my list.

I realized that I'm only just starting 2002 and I'm almost halfway to my wordcount. I've only written about seven years and I need to be at year nine (at least) to finish my life story before November ends. Either I need to write more words (around 60k) or I need to write less words about each year to finish on time. Oh dear...

Thanks for the continued support and patience this month. Y'all are the best!

Oh, and I donated to NaNoWriMo today! It wasn't much (10 bucks) but I'm glad I finally contributed to the awesome organization that has helped me achieve so much!

One last thing: If you're on figment (or if you aren't...), please read and heart my short story The Hungarian Girl. Thanks! I still need to make a few edits to it but I'll get to that later... Here's the link: http://figment.com/books/471115-The-Hungarian-Girl

NaNoWriMo Day 14

I got to my daily word quota today (I am now at 21,667 words)! Things are starting to unravel in my story so that's making me excited to write. It's also the end of week 2. I've read many times in NaNoWriMo emails that the second week of NaNo can be the hardest week because it's slow, you start to doubt yourself, you're behind on sleep, etc. but that things usually pick up in weeks 3 and 4. I can see how true this is! This past week I have had a difficult time writing but now I feel that I'm on my way with the story.

It also kinda helps that The Office of Letters and Lights came out with campnanowrimo.org. It's a site just like nanowrimo.org that lets you do NaNoWriMo in July or August instead of November. Yeah, it's pretty legit.

I hope everyone is having a great summer no matter what "camp" they may be attending :)

NaNoWriMo Days 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, & 19

During days 13-15... I hardly wrote at all. I definitely didn't write more than 1,000 words on each of those days (out of the 1,667 words a day I am supposed to write). So, Mom motivated me on Day 17 to get with it. I ended up writing more than 3,000 words on day 17 :) and another 2,500 or so on day 18. Today, I was back to my low: about 1,000 words. I even went to a write in today where I only wrote 400 words :P but it was a fun visit with Amanda and Ann. I am going to try and write some more tonight and definitely write to and from church tomorrow.

NaNoWriMo Days 11, 12, 13, 14, & 15

Well, things have been going well these past five days. I managed to write and stay on track from the 11-13th. On the 14th I didn't end up writing at all. :( We had a debate Round Robin that kept me busy from 5am to 9pm. I was just to tired too write when I got home. So, what did I do today? Well, this morning I wrote 2,000 words before church and then I came home and wrote another 1,300 words. I am now proud to say that I am half way through the month and I have passed the half way mark of 25,000 words :D As for my story, it's still going pretty well. I am enjoying the characters and the plot seems to be doing well. All in all, I am very happy of what I have done so far this month.
