NaNoWriMo Day 1

Day 1 is complete!

I got through all of my birth and the rest of 1994. I moved on to 1995 already. Since I don't have a whole lot of things to say about my first few years, I'm going to have to write several thousand words on each of the later years. But in perspective: I still have a lot to say even about the days/moments I can't even remember anything about (ie. my birth). So I think I've done well today considering I don't remember a thing, haha.

daily minimum word goal: 1667
1,667th word written: when
total words written today: 2,295

Besides NaNo, I got a seasonal job today AND I got my first college acceptance letter -- how cool is that? NaNo, a new job, and college acceptance letter: woohoo!!!

Looking forward to tomorrow!

NaNoWriMo Day 1

Day 1 down and I'm 2,500 words into my novel. Today's goal (and every day's goal) is 1,667 words. I woke up early this morning and wrote about 1,000 words before I babysat for my neighbor. While babysitting I wrote another 1,000 words. And finally I added 500 more words this afternoon when I got home. My first chapter is a bit cliche/boring but I hope things will pick up once the story gets going. As someone (an author, I'm not sure who...) once said, "You can't edit a blank page." So at least I'm putting something on the page -- I'll edit it later.

Fourth of July is coming up! My blog's new look seems quite fit for the occasion.

NaNoWriMo Day 1

Today I began my own NaNoWriMo adventure (it is usually in November but I am doing it in June). I got off to a rough start this morning as I wrote nothing significant until about 4P.M.; I normally write in the morning. But all is good now and I got to my daily word quote: 1667 words. I am currently at 1765 :)
My book is about a family in Michigan that struggle with their faith. Through the course of the book I will talk about three generations with the focus being on the last generation. I am a little disappointed at the first few pages I wrote but the last three pages are pretty good.

One day down, 29 days to go.

NaNoWriMo Day 1

So, today is the first day of NaNoWriMo. Mom took me to the San Antonio's first NaNoWriMo event this year at Jim's and we stayed until just after midnight. However, we didn't bring a laptop so we went home once everyone started writing. Once we got home about 12:20 am I started on my novel. I wrote about 900 words, went to bed, and then passed the 1,667 word mark before church. (The minimum word count per day is 1,667 words). Now I am about to take a break and get back to it. I want to get ahead now to make the rest of the month easier. :D

Here is a pic of me and San Antonio's ML Toggy (and yes, I am wearing a unicorn hat):
